Customs clearance questions

What does customs clearance involve?

Getting your goods released when they arrive: the paperwork, working out duty and GST, and arranging any biosecurity inspections. We look after all of it and then deliver to your door.

How much duty and GST will I pay?

It depends on what the goods are, what they’re worth and where they were made. In Australia, GST on imports is 10% of the value of the goods plus freight, insurance and any duty. We work out what’s payable for you.

What documents do you need?

Usually the commercial invoice, the packing list, and the bill of lading or air waybill. Some goods also need permits or certificates. You can attach documents to the quote form.
