Questions about your privacy? Call +61 405 323 890.
We only collect the personal information we need to quote for and handle your freight. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:
Your name, company, job title, email address and phone number
Shipment details: what you are shipping, where from and where to, weights, sizes, dates and Incoterms
Documents you send us, such as commercial invoices and packing lists
Names, addresses and contact details of shippers, consignees and delivery contacts
Information you give us in a credit application, including details of directors or guarantors
Records of our calls, emails and other dealings with you
Information about how you use our website (see Cookies and our website, below)
3. How we collect it
Most information comes straight from you: through our quote and call-back forms, by email, by phone or in person. We may also receive it from people acting for you, such as your supplier, customer or customs agent, and from carriers, partner agents and government agencies involved in your shipment.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
Prepare quotes and reply to your enquiries
Book, track and manage your shipments, including customs clearance and delivery
Meet our legal obligations, including customs, biosecurity and tax requirements
Invoice you, collect payment and assess and manage credit accounts
Improve our services and our website
We do not sell personal information. If we send you news about our services, you can ask us to stop at any time.
5. Who we share it with
To move your freight we need to share some information with others. This may include:
Our partner agents in Australia and overseas, including members of our international freight networks
Airlines, shipping lines, transport companies and warehouses
Customs and government agencies, such as the Australian Border Force, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the New Zealand Customs Service and the Ministry for Primary Industries
Insurers, if you ask us to arrange insurance or make a claim
Our service providers, such as our website host (Wix), email, IT, accounting and debt collection providers
Anyone you authorise, or anyone we are required or allowed to share it with by law
6. Sending information overseas
Freight moves between countries, so we often share shipment details with agents, carriers and authorities in the countries your cargo comes from or goes to. These can be anywhere in the world, depending on your shipment.
Our website, forms and email notices are provided by Wix, which may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure the people we share information with handle it properly.
7. How we protect and keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
We keep information for as long as we need it for our business and as long as the law requires. Customs and tax records, for example, generally have to be kept for five years. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or remove personal details from it.
8. Cookies and our website
Our website is hosted by Wix. Wix uses cookies and similar tools to make the site work and to give us general statistics about how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
When you send our quote or call-back form, your details are stored in our Wix account and emailed to our bookings team.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we cannot give you access, we will explain why.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If you are in New Zealand, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
